Whom It May Concern,
Earlier this year, my wife and I purchased a new
home in the Bixby Knolls area of Long Beach. Our new home, is one of the
most delightful and charming streets in all of Long Beach. It is a block that
allows one to feel like he or she has stepped back in time to an earlier and
simpler era. A bit of the history of our home will demonstrate how instrumental
our Broker, Julaine Waggoner, was in fulfilling our ultimate dream. We
had lived in a beautiful home in Rancho Palos Verdes, with an unobstructed
Catalina view, for 22 years. We wanted to downsize and simplify our lives,
but still hopefully wanted a new home with character and charm. Julaine worked
with us for months, helping us look both in Long Beach and some adjacent
areas, including Rossmoor and Cypress. There was a relatively new development
in Cypress that was liked. Julaine, demonstrating her creativity , ingenuity,
and tenacity, prepared a flyer which she circulated to homes in the area which,
although not on the market, she thought we would like. Indeed, one of the
recipients of the flyer contacted Julaine. Although her Cypress home was very
desirable, with a most beautiful back yard and pool, we eventually decided
that Cypress was too far away from our daughter, son-in-law, and grandson.
Thereafter we concentrated on the Belmont Shore, Bixby Knolls and Virginia
Country Club areas of Long Beach. Sometime
before Christmas, Julaine had us look at a house (in Bixby Knolls, which we
didn't get)...Shortly thereafter, knowing that we really loved the ...block,
Julaine again prepared flyers about having motivated purchasers and circulated
them among the houses on (that) block) in which she thought we would have
an interest. A few days later, in a state of utter excitement, Julaine contacted
us to tell us she had a response from one of the homeowners! She would not
tell us the location of the house until she further pursued the matter with
the owners, but she was very excited.
To try to make a long story somewhat shorter, during the time we had been
looking at the first house...my wife had seen another house that she just
adored, and could only pray might be the type of house we would eventually
find. After several days, Julaine advised us that she was far enough along
in the disucssions with the potentila new sellers to have us come over and
see the house and talk with them. We were going to meet them on a Sunday.
We asked Julaine for the address so we could drive by on Saturday and at least
see the exterior of the house. Lo and behold, when we drove by the house
on Saturday, it was the house- the quaint and lovely French Country Cottage
which Susan had already fallen in love with. Susan literally sobbed tears
of joy as we first viewed the house. After a short series of negotiations,
the deal was made, and we moved into our dream house... Susan
and I cannot say enough about the creativitiy and ingenuity of Julaine as
our Broker. If there are other brokers who are prepared to work as hard as
she did, we're not aware of them. Julaine was a joy to work with, and we could
not have been more pleased with her efforts and professionalism on her
behalf. David Waller |
